In order to successfully use voip, you need to be using a high-speed internet connection of at least 90 kbps in both
directions (upload and download). Anything slower than that will give you rotten call quality and who wants that? If you have
a DSL or Cable broadband modem, you should be able to use voip.com's internet phone service.

Yes, you can. Voip.coms phone service is compatible with the Mac, Linux, and PC platforms. To access the web-based features
of your voip.com account, youll need a computer with an up-to-date web browser, like Mozilla Firefox or Microsofts Internet
Explorer. Because of your voip internet phone adapter, you dont even need a computer to make and receive voip calls. The
adapter lets any phone use your broadband connection for phone callsno computer required!

Probably, as long as it isnt one thats designed only for use with a particular software program. Look for a USB phone thats
engineered to be compatible with a wide range of voip softphone clients and youve likely found a handset youll be happy
with.

No. As long as your upload and download speeds are 90 Kbps or greater, you should be able to use voip successfully. When
considering an ISP provider, dont forget to ask about average jitter, packet loss, and round-trip times for customers in your
area. These can give even the fastest connection an unacceptable quality rating for voip.
